Amazon Echo Dot stock shortage: Here's when each model of this speaker will be available

Amazon Echo Dot is the firm’s smallest and most affordable smart speaker.

Although the hardware does not offer most premium audio experience when compared to its more premium brothers, it does come with the same built-in Alexa functionality fans have become accustomed to.

That means owners are able to ask the Amazon Echo Dot a multitude of questions and command it to perform a manner of tasks.

Echo Dot received a design upgrade last year that introduced a more refined and contemporary aesthetic overall.

Discussing the change, Amazon said: “Our most popular Echo is now even better.

“With a new speaker and design, Echo Dot is a voice-controlled smart speaker with Alexa that’s perfect for any room.

“Just ask for music, news, information and more.

“You can also call anyone with an Echo device, the Alexa App or Skype, and control compatible smart home devices with your voice.”

The Amazon Echo Dot is currently priced at £49.99 on the retail behemoth’s store.

However, all three variants of the product are currently out of stock and will not be available until next month at the earliest.

Here is a full list of when you can get your hands on each model of the Echo Dot:

• Amazon Echo Dot, charcoal fabric – March 1, 2019

• Amazon Echo Dot, heather grey fabric – February 21, 2019

• Amazon Echo Dot, sandstone fabric – March 7, 2019

The Echo Dot in its charcoal fabric finish was estimated to be back in stock on February 21 over the weekend, but has since been delayed further.

Meanwhile, the lengthier delay for the sandstone fabric variant could suggest this is the most popular version of the device.

However, netter that claim nor the Echo Dot’s availability has been discussed by Amazon.
