Man City transfer news: Two deals that could be done this week

Manchester City are cruising through a quiet January transfer window with few incoming or outgoing deals set to take place this month.

City sold young wonderkid Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid after it became clear he wasn’t going to sign a new contract at the Etihad.

If City are to complete any business this week, it is likely to involve negotiations with Portuguese champions Porto.

Express Sport has rounded up which Man City transfer deals could be finalised in the next week.

IN: Eder Militao (from Porto)

City were heavily-linked with the young defender last summer and the race looks set to heat up.

Reports suggested title contenders City and Liverpool were about to duel for the £45m-rated centre-back just before the transfer window opened.

However, current speculation suggests Manchester United and Real Madrid are stepping up their interest.

If City are to land their long-term target, they’ll need to move very quickly.

OUT: Eliaquim Mangala (to Porto)

One deal which could fuel the Militao transfer speculation rumour mill would be Mangala’s potential return to Porto.

Portuguese outlet A BOLA have linked Mangala with free transfer back to Porto where he was sold for around £42m in 2014.

Mangala is a forgotten man at City and is certain the leave the club in the summer at the latest.

However, Porto have reportedly joined Galatasaray and Inter in the race to sign him on loan in January to shift his wages off City’s books before a permanent deal in July.
