Bros: Matt and Luke Goss announce NEW shows after documentary success

The 50-year-old brothers saw BBC Four air their documentary Bros: After The Screaming Stops last month. And following the viral success, Matt and Luke Goss have announced they will perform as Bros later this year after cancelling most of their 2017 dates. Posting on his Twitter, Matt shared a poster for a new gig in Brixton, London. In a statement, Luke said: “After the phenomenal response to the Bros film we’re genuinely looking forward to a more intimate show in our home town.”

He added: “This show is going to be live, loud, up close and personal. See you there!”

Bros Coming Home will be performed on Friday, July 5th at London’s O2 Academy Brixton, as they get set to announce more concerts in the UK and around the world – as teased on Good Morning Britain on Monday.

Express.co.uk spoke with the twins last November before the documentary aired on TV.

After The Screaming Stops follows Matt and Luke as they prepared for 2017’s reunion concerts after barely speaking for two decades. No wonder the movie started with a shocking and upsetting fight.

Asked why they allowed such brutal and unforgiving access, Matt said: “We just wanted to create something truthful. As musicians, as an industry it is tumultuous and you really have to swim with sharks and there’s a lot of blood in the water.

“It really does take its toll. The audience deserves to hear the truth.

“For me to watch this film was very difficult and it brings up emotions, personal subjects, for the first time.

“None of this was staged. Some of the emotions were so raw and new but had festered to decades. Quitting was never, will never be an option. We have been very close to breaking. We’ve bent a few times but we do not break.”

Asked if their comeback was the start of something new, Matt said: “We’ve already spoken to Fulwell (the film’s production company). We had a meeting. We worked so well together. There is absolutely things in the works… We want to tour the show that is on the movie.”

Luke added: “One thing we’ve decided to do… Being musicians, we want to spend a year playing music. So there will be a lot of live stuff. Globally, whether it be our own shows, festivals, we really enjoy jamming, plugging in and playing all around the world and then take that beautiful fresh, vibrant energy into a recording session and make what I think will be the best Bros album ever.”

Tickets for Bros Coming Home go on sale at 9am on Friday morning.
