Gemma Collins: ‘I’m in AGONY’ Dancing On Ice star reveals painful issue in new video

Gemma Collins, 37, dazzled viewers with her Beyoncé-inspired Crazy In Love routine on the ITV show Dancing On Ice 2019 last Sunday. However, the TOWIE star has revealed she is in “agony” after she admitted to falling while practising for the new group routine. In the clip, the reality star said: “Just for the entertainment value guys, check out these knee pads I’m wearing. “I am in agony after all the falling, but the knee pads are next level.”

The amateur skater panned the camera down to show off her safety gear as she sported brightly coloured pink and green leggings.

However, she assured fans the kneepads were a precaution so she could get back on the ice tonight.

Gemma continued: “But I’m just making sure I’m keeping it to the point where hopefully I’m not going to have anymore injuries.

“So I can get back on that ice a week from Sunday and do another routine for you. Your support has been totally overwhelming, hasn’t it Matt?”

Moving the camera to her skating partner, Matt Evers, he replied: “Absolutely love it. Thank you.”

Gemma and Matt scored 16 points out of a possible 40 for their routine last weekend.

Despite the low score, three of the judges praised the star for her skating efforts but one judge was less than complimentary.

Jason Gardiner scored Gemma a total of 2.5 points after he claimed she “talks a big talk” but was unable to “back it up”.

He said: “You talk up a big talk but you don’t back it up and you didn’t back it up tonight.

“She didn’t do the splits; she had one leg out and one leg… I don’t know what it was doing.”

He continued: “There were moments where it felt a little bit like a French and Saunders parody.”

Meanwhile, skating judge Christopher Dean praised Gemma’s “attack and bravado”.

His former Olympic skating partner Jayne Torville commended her for getting through the routine and coming back from her many falls on the ice which preceded the performance.

Judge Ashley Banjo said: “Gemma you’re a ledge, you’re here, you did it and you smashed the routine.

“There’s loads of work to be done but you did it. It’s week one!”(sic)

Dancing On Ice 2019 continues tonight at 8pm on ITV.
