Dancing On Ice 2019: Brian McFadden ‘dislocates shoulder’ in brutal injury

Dancing On Ice 2019 began with a bang last week as the likes of Gemma Collins and James Jordan stunned judges – in more ways than one.

This weekend was set to see the remaining six contestant take to the ice and display their growing talents, however Brian McFadden may not appear.

A source revealed Brian suffered an injury during rehearsal yesterday.

They went on to explain Brian has “partially dislocated his shoulder and damaged his rotator cuff.”

They continued to say Brian could not rehearse any more yesterday.

But hiss condition is going to be reassessed today.

Images show Brian being checked over by a doctor who is presumably working out what was wrong with his shoulder.

It is as of yet unclear if this will force Brian to stop dancing in tonight’s episode of the show.

If he were not able to dance in the show this evening it is unclear whether he would automatically be put through to next week without any score.

Brian’s injury follows reports of him sustaining an alternative injury earlier this week.

His partner, Alex Murphy, reportedly told The Sun they had quite a fall during rehearsal.

She explained: “We had a fall, it was pretty bad.

“He was really anxious after that but I told him not to worry and hopefully it’s out of his system.”

However Brian denied these claims on his Twitter account, as he retweeted one of the articles.

He captioned the article: “Not true kids! I’m brand new and ready to roll!!! X.”

Brian isn’t the only contestant taking a tumble so far in the competition.

Melody Thornton recently revealed she fell during one of her practice sessions.

She told The Sun: “I was trying to put one foot behind the other and I stepped on my blasé and went backwards flying but landed on my face.

“It was so intense. You immediately want to cry.”

Dancing On Ice continues tomorrow at 6pm on ITV.
