Cheryl spills all on DATING plans as she opens up on heartbreak after Liam Payne split

The 35-year-old popstar confirmed she and the former One Direction singer, 25, had separated last summer, 16 months after welcoming son Bear together. Cheryl has had a number of high-profile relationships over the years, including her marriages to England footballer Ashley Cole, 38, and Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini. In a new interview with MailOnline, she opened up on romance, saying she has put dating on the back burner for now. “I wouldn’t say I’ve given up on love,” she insisted. “I love love. But I have paused my relationship goals.

“All is well. I’m just going with the flow, but I have no plans to meet anybody anytime soon,” Cheryl added.

The Greatest Dancer star also spoke out about her relationship with Liam since their split, calling it “healthy”.

“There’s no animosity whatsoever,” she told the publication. “We are learning all the time and it’s good, it’s healthy.

“We’re just like any other couple that have gone through this, but we have a few more eyes watching us… just a few,” she joked.

Cheryl admitted the “lows” of a relationship breaking down somewhat put her off the idea of romance.

“I hate the lows,” she said. “It’s kind of one of the rings that makes us not want to get into a relationship.

CHERYL DATING: WHO IS CHERYL COLE DATING? WHO HAS SHE BEEN LINKED TO SINCE LIAM PAYNE?

“Nothing quite makes you feel like that, does it? Nothing else.”

Cheryl previously said she was focusing on Bear, saying the romantic side of her life wasn’t “happening anymore”.

“I’ve got the man in my life now,” she said of her son.

Despite discussing love in her recent comeback single, Love Made Me Do It, in which she called herself a “sucker” who falls in love with “every f***er”, the former Girls Aloud star said the lyrics didn’t refer to anyone in particular.

She said the songs on her new album, The Gold Album, were all written before her split from Liam, adding: “None of them are about anybody.”

Although Cheryl has revealed she is not currently dating, some fans thought the spotted a spark between her and Hollywood A-lister Michael B Jordan, 31, on the Graham Norton Show last month.

As she took her place on the famous red sofa next to the hunky actor, she looked slightly flustered.

Glancing at the audience, she pulled a cheeky face.

Some fans interpreted the moment as “sexual tension”, with one tweeting: “Michael B Jordan is going to be Cheryl’s 7th husband.”

“Definitely bit of sexual tension there,” another said, while a third added: “I’m calling a Cheryl and Michael B Jordan romance.”

The Greatest Dancer continues tonight at 8.10pm on BBC One.
