Aaron Ramsey wages: Arsenal star’s Juventus contract compared to Cristiano Ronaldo salary

Aaron Ramsey is on the verge of agreeing a mega-money contract with Juventus as his time with Arsenal draws to a close.

The Welsh star is out of contract in the summer and Ramsey is expected to undergo a medical in the coming days before confirming a deal with Juventus.

In a deal worth £36million, the Arsenal star will leave Arsenal after 10 years at the club following weeks of talks.

Ramsey will remain at Arsenal until the summer when he will link up with his new Juventus team-mates including Cristiano Ronaldo.

Juventus signed Ronaldo last summer for a huge £100m and this season are nine points clear of Napoli in second place, with 19 games under their belt.

Ramsey is likely to gain a place in the starting XI with Miralem Pjanic and Blaise Matuidi in a three-man midfield, according to the Guardian.

He already has the support of manager Max Allegri and director Fabio Paratici, who are said to be huge fans of their new signing.

The midfielder will join the club as a free agent which traditionally results in a major pay rise for stars on the move – but how much will he earn?

How much does Aaron Ramsey earn?

Ramsey’s estimated £100,000 per week deal at Arsenal is likely to rise by around 40 per cent following a move to Juve.

He will rake in a weekly wage of £140,000 at Juventus, according to The Guardian.

That is enough to make him the second-highest earner in the Serie A giants’ squad – but the midfielder still has some way to go before catching up to number one earner Ronaldo.

The former Real Madrid megastar earns an eye-watering £500,000 per week in Turin, according to a list of salary figures published by Gazzetta dello Sport.

Ronaldo is the highest-paid player in the Italian top flight and Ramsey’s deal would rank third-highest in the list.

AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain earns £160,000 per week though he has been heavily-tipped to join Chelsea during the January transfer window.

Arsenal will now have to begin the search for a Ramsey replacement.

Barcelona squad player Denis Suarez has been linked with a move to the Emirates though it remains to be seen whether Arsenal will stump up the cash to sign him now or in the summer.
