Resident Evil 2 Remake demo CONFIRMED: PS4 and Xbox One release date for RE2 demo revealed

Resident Evil 2 Remake is one of the biggest releases of 2019.

The Resident Evil 2 Remake is out on PS4, Xbox One and PCs at the end of this month with fans getting to return to Raccoon City in glorious HD.

And ahead of the big release date Capcom has revealed that fans will be able to try out a Resident Evil 2 Remake demo this week.

This Friday a ‘one shot’ demo for the Resident Evil 2 Remake will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PCs.

Fans will get 30 minutes to try out the Resident Evil 2 Remake and then that’s it – you won’t be able to play the game again until it’s full release.

So you’ll have to make your ‘one shot’ playthrough of the Resident Evil 2 Remake demo count.

The official Resident Evil Twitter account posted: “Thirty minutes, one shot!

“The Resident Evil 2 “1-Shot” Demo is coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Steam on January 11th!”

In a blog post they added: “Who are ‘ya? What are you doing here? If you’re looking for info on the Resident Evil 2 “1-Shot” Demo, look no further!

“With the demo out in just a few days on January 11th, we’ve got fresh new details on what to expect from this unique slice from the full game.

Capcom went on to say: “With the living dead shuffling about and even the supposedly safe Raccoon City Police Department, or R.P.D., being overrun by terrifying monsters, nowhere feels safe anymore.

“As rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy, you’ll be setting foot into a reimagined R.P.D. station not only to seek shelter and figure out why none of your co-workers are calling you back, but also to find a way out of the nightmare that’s unfolding in front of you.”

Express.co.uk were lucky enough to play the Resident Evil 2 Remake ahead of its release date.

And we were left suitably impressed, saying the ‘Resident Evil 2 Remake is the PERFECT way to begin 2019’.

In our preview we said: “The Resident Evil 2 Remake made me jump more times than I care to remember.

“Even the lowliest zombies are resilient enough to induce mild panic, creeping up on any unsuspecting player that is foolish enough to leave them for dead.

“Gorgeous visuals and the returning over-the-shoulder camera enhance the experience, creating a moody and claustrophobic experience that’s a joy to play.”
