Gemma Atkinson, 34, recently released her new fitness book titled The Ultimate Body Plan, which she discussed with Lorraine Kelly on the ITV show. However, the fitness star spilled details about a surprising new venture she is embarking on with her beau, Strictly Come Dancing 2018 professional Gorka Marquez, 28. Speaking on the show, Gemma revealed what she had “promised” the Spanish dancer after she met with his family. She said: “So we went over at Christmas time and met all his family – they are all such lovely a family but I was supposed to be fluent in Spanish but I only picked up a little bit. I have been a bit rubbish with my lessons.
“His family doesn’t speak any English. It’s down to me really to get fluent. So I promised him I would.”
The radio host revealed she had spent time with his family over the Christmas but she does not have a good grasp of the language just yet.
Speaking about their relationship,Gemma gushed how “happy” the pair are in their romance.
She continued: “He makes me so happy, he really, really does. I’ve been on my own for three years and now I’m living with Gorks.

Gemma and Gorka have been dating for over year after the couple first met on the BBC show, Strictly Come Dancing in 2017.
However, the fitness star said she had initially turned down the offer to appear on the dancing show.
She said: “When the offer first came in, I initially said, ‘No let’s leave it’.”
Gemma went on to reveal she changed her mind after reading an Oprah Winfrey book left in her room on a retreat.
Meanwhile, Gorka recently praised Gemma on her new book after the star peaked at number six on Amazon.
Taking to Instagram, the dancer uploaded a photo of Gemma’s new book, writing: “So proud of you.”
Gemma admitted she was so happy with the book’s success she “could cry” as she shared a post about it.
She captioned the snap: “On my first day of publication You guys have taken me to number 6 on Amazon and made me the number 1 best seller on festive seasonal dishes.”
The former Hollyoaks actor appeared tearful as she added: “I could cry!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH @harpercollinsuk @beccabarr13 #dreamteam.”
Gemma’s 801,000 Instagram followers bombarded the star with congratulatory messages on her achievement.
One fan wrote: “I can’t wait to get mine!! You are total inspiration x.”
Another person commented: ”Mine arrived today!!! So excited to start the 12 week plan!”
While a third person added: “Got my copy tonight and got my a*s off the couch to start my first home weights!”
