Golden Globes 2019 live stream: Can you watch the ceremony online in the UK?

All eyes will be on who wins the movie and TV gongs at tonight’s bash, which is fronted by Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh. But as with any big US awards show, British would-be-viewers have one key question: how can we watch? Is there a livestream online for British viewers?

The answer is, unfortunately, no – there is no official UK stream on which fans can watch the Golden Globes as they happen.

What Brits can do, however, is keep an eye on the official Golden Globes social platforms online, as they will likely be updated with winners and buzzworthy moments as they happen.

But as far as continuing live coverage of the actual telecast is concerned, that’s not an option open to those in the UK and in most territories outside the USA.

Those who are in the US have multiple options outside of watching live on TV on NBC.

It’ll be shown on Hulu Live TV, YouTube TV, Sling TV, and PlayStation Vue, as well as on the NBC website.

The ceremony kicks off at 8pm EST/5pm PST; which is 1am in the UK.

The Golden Globes are a big precursor to the Oscars, which will follow next month – and are currently without a presenter.

The Oscars nominations will be announced on January 22, ahead of the ceremony on February 24.

Films to look out for across awards season include A Star Is Born, the newest retelling of the classic story – this time fronted by Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga.

The Favourite, starring Olivia Colman, is also one to watch; as are Green Book, BlackKklansman, If Beale Street Could Talk and Mary Poppins Returns.

Rami Malek is flying the flag for Bohemian Rhapsody, while Marvel’s lauded epic Black Panther could make history if it wins Best Motion Picture – Drama.

There are also multiple TV categories, led by the likes of The Americans, Pose, Killing Eve and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.
