Michelin starred chef Tom Kerridge is launching a new show on BBC Two tonight, aimed at helping families eat healthier. The show, Fresh Start, features eight families adopting new healthier lifestyles in six steps. Tom provides meal plans and challenges to think of food in a new light as he himself lost 12 stone by cutting out alcohol and sticking to a low carb diet.
Who is Tom Kerridge?
Tom Kerridge is a 45-year-old chef from Salisbury.
He has been on BBC shows Masterchef, Saturday Kitchen and The Great British Menu previously.
More recently Tom has fronted How to Lose Weight for Good Eating Delicious Food for BBC Two.

How many restaurants does he have?
Tom has four restaurants, The Hand and Flowers, The Coach, The Butcher’s Tap and Kerridge’s Bar and Grill.
Kerridge’s Bar and Grill is based at the five star Corinthia Hotel in London.
It opened in September 2018 and is Tom’s first London restaurant.
He has one previous restaurant, the Adlards in Norwich.
Where is the Hand and the Flowers?
The expert chef owns the Hand and Flowers, which is a gastropub.
The restaurant is the first pub to be awarded two Michelin stars.
The Hand and the Flowers are in Marlow, Buckinghamshire and opened in 2005.
The pub received the first Michelin star and three AA rosettes in under a year.
Tom brought some of his team from the Hand and the Flower across to his new venture, Kerridge’s Bar and Grill.
Of his new restaurant, he said: “We’ve brought a lot of what we love from Marlow, including brilliant food, lovely people, and a warm, friendly welcome, and added all the theatre of a legendary hotel.“
