Former Loose Women star Jane McDonald, 55, discussed her BAFTA Awards appearance back in May, which she attended with her fiancé Eddie Rothe. Discussing her win at the award show on This Morning, she told Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford: “I was thrilled to be there and see people I have admired on the screens for such a long time and I’m really glad I got a new frock. “And I’m really glad that Ed was there because people honestly think I’ve made him up. They think he’s a fragment of my imagination but he had a new suit on and he looked so great.”
Amid the chat, Jane also told the hosts she managed to take time out of her busy work schedule to have a “cheeky weekend” away with her husband-to-be.
She said: “Ed is now visiting me, so we went away for a cheeky weekend you know so…”
Ruth cheekily replied: “Oh yeah.”
Laughing, Jane added: “Mind you, I am always that tired, I’m thinking, ‘Oh bless him, but just rub my back’.

Jane and The Searchers drummer Eddie first met as teenagers and rekindled their romance in 2009.
The singer has been married twice in her lifetime, firstly to a man named Paul for one year from 1986.
Jane later married her former manager Henrik Brixen in 1998 but was divorced by 2002.
The singer previously gushed over Eddie, saying he fixed her heart break following the breakdown of her second marriage.
She told The Mirror: “I was bereft after my second marriage broke up.
“I didn’t date anyone seriously for seven years and could hardly expect anything with my track record. But this guy takes my breath away.
“I’m very lucky. Normally when you meet someone after a long time they look nothing like you remember, or they are married.
“We both realise we are lucky to have found each other again.”
Cruising with Jane McDonald airs tonight at 8pm and Jane McDonald and Friends follows at 9pm on Channel 5.
