Rumours have suggested over recent weeks that we’d get something from Star Wars: Episode 9 before the end of the month. And while time ticks by and that looks increasingly unlikely, there remains speculation that some kind of footage is debuting very soon. Even though, by The Last Jedi’s timeline, we could still be four months out.
Still, replying to a fan on Instagram, the Star Wars official account hinted something is coming.
One fan wrote: “@starwars you guys know that the best Xmas gift would be dropping a teaser or at least title reveal. Please.”
And the account replied: “Patience, young Jedi”, alongside a cheeky wink-face emoji.
So will they drop something very soon?

So the signs do look encouraging that we may at least know Star Wars 9’s official name very soon.
Speculation that something would be unveiled during Monday Night Football last night proved to be false.
Production is still ongoing, with the likes of Mark Hamill returning to round out the Skywalker saga.
Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Kelly Marie Tran and Domhnall Gleeson are also reprising their roles for the final time.
And Carrie Fisher will be seen one more time as Leia, thanks to footage she recorded for The Last Jedi and The Force Awakens prior to her death in 2016.
Star Wars 9 is out in December 2019.
