Cricketer Michael Vaughan, 44, took to his Instagram to share a preview of him in rehearsals in which he joked people will need a drink before watching his performance with Nadiya Bychkova, 29. In a picture uploaded by the sportsman star, he was seen in mid-air on the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor while his dancer partner Nadiya Bychkova was captured sitting with a dog. In view of his 153,000 followers, he commented: “Attacking Xmas like this… @nadiyabychkova!! Make sure you all drink plenty before 5.30pm Xmas day!!! @bbcstrictly!!”(sic)
He also took to his Instagram story to post a further picture of him in-action with the caption: “Merry Xmas.”
The Strictly Come Dancing duo will perform a routine as part of a fairytale themed one-off episode in a bid to win the Glitterball trophy.
Speaking of his return to the dance floor, he said: “Having not danced at all since 2012 I can’t be any worse than then as I had no clue then, still have no clue, but can’t wait to have some fun and at least it will help lose a few pounds over the Christmas party season!”
Last month, Michael’s dance partner Nadiya shared a selfie of the pair from the studio.

Michael first appeared on the BBC dance show in 2012 with former professional dancer Natalie Lowe.
After becoming the eighth contestant to be voted off, he praised his dance partner in an emotional speech.
He said: “I’ve drained every ounce of dance ability out of my body because of this lady… everything about this show, the judges and everyone backstage, all the contestants have been great.
“I’ve got new friends that I’ve made for life.
“Nicky thoroughly deserved that win, he wiped the floor with me!”
“I’ve had a ball, and the real winner for me is Natalie.
“She got me to the ninth week, which is quite remarkable.”
Tonight, Michael and Nadiya will take to the dance floor alongside Anita Rani and Neil Jones, Ann Widdecombe and Anton Du Beke, Aston Merrygold and Janette Manrara, Caroline Flack and Gorka Marquez and Jake Wood and Luba Mushtuk.
Strictly Come Dancing continues tonight at 5:30pm on BBC One.
