LeBron James PUNISHMENT: NBA decision on Lakers star after controversial Instagram post

The Los Angeles Lakers star referenced a song which had the lyric ‘Jewish money’ in which didn’t go down well with some fans.

The song, by US rapper 21 Savage, was shared with his 45.8m followers on Instagram.

It isn’t the only controversial comment LeBron has made in recent days.

He described the owners of NFL as ‘a bunch of old white men’ who ‘got that slave mentality’ on Friday.

But LeBron did issue an apology to anyone who was offended by his Instagram post.

He said: “Apologies, for sure, if I offended anyone.

“That’s not why I chose to share that lyric. I always [post lyrics].

“That’s what I do. I ride in my car, I listen to great music, and that was the by-product of it.

“So, I actually thought it was a compliment, and obviously it wasn’t through the lens of a lot of people.

“My apologies. It definitely was not the intent, obviously, to hurt anybody.”

The NBA have since confirmed they will be taking no action against LeBron.

The Lakers star was in action tonight against the Golden State Warriors in the NBA extravaganza on Christmas Day.

Going into the match LeBron and co were fourth in the Western Conference.

The Warriors were second as they look to defend their NBA Championship.
