LeBron James opens up on worrying injury after Lakers DESTROY Warriors

He said: “I was dribbling down the court and Draymond got his hand on the ball and then I went to get the loose ball and over extended my groin I guess.

“Then I felt it coming down the court and over extended it again back on defence.”

When asked if he had he the injury before he explained: “Yeah I have but not in a long time.”

And LeBron also revealed he would have an MRI scan on the groin problem tomorrow.

He said: “I wasn’t able to go back in the game obviously. I don’t know I’m going to get an MRI tomorrow.

“I’m never too concerned by them [injuries] I was able to walk off under my own power, I felt a pop and tried to stretch it a few times to see if it would relieve but it didn’t.

“It happens but we’ve got great medical staff here.”

LeBron’s team-mate Josh Hart says the Lakers are ready to step up if he can’t play for a series of games.

He said: “Obviously we hope he’s okay but we’ve got a lot of good players.

“If he’s down we’re ready to step up.

“None of us are scared of the spotlight.”

After LeBron initially got injured for the Lakers, the Warriors closed to within three points of their opponents.

But the Lakers were able to re-focus and recorded a dominant 127-101 victory against the reigning NBA champions.

The result leaves LeBron and co sitting fourth in the Western Conference with a 20-14 record.

Next up for the Lakers is a clash with the Sacramento Kings on Friday at 3am UK time.

LeBron is a serious doubt for the clash ahead of having his MRI scan.
