HTC Wildfire Review – Android 2.1 Operating System

The HTC Wildfire has been officially announced and it is a device that is developed to capture the market that believes to the students. This market segment concerns to a section of consumers that are aware about the latest improvement in the field of mobile technologies but can not purchase high-tech phones due to budget constraint. equipped with top-notch features such as email, texts, social networking, and touch screen functionality. HTC promises to provide the users with good value of money, better than its last budget smart phone called the Tattoo.

The device will be inclusive of Android 2.1 and also include the brilliant Sense interface by HTC. The display feature of Wildfire is one of its major highlight. It is coming in the market with 3.2 inches TFT capacitive touch screen that boasts 16 million colors and 240 x 320 pixels resolution. Other major highlights of the display includes multi touch input method, accelerometer sensor for UI auto rotate, touch sensitive controls, optical trackpad, proxy sensor for auto turn off, and Turn-to-mute and lift-to-dim-out a call.

Internet browsing is decent with HSDPA 7.2 mbps speed and Wi Fi. With good internet browsing, the users can access and update the favorite social networks such as Facebok, Flicr, and Twitter. On top of that, there are Google applications such as Google Talk, Gmail, Google maps, and Google Search.

The young generation love to listen to music and enjoy watching videos. With HTC Wildfire they can play MP3 / AAC + / WAV / WMA9 player for music and MP4 / H.263 / H.264 / WMV9 player for videos. They can click some nice shots with the 5 mega pixel camera that is integrated in the mobile phone. Some of the prominent highlights of the camera include LED flash, auto focus, smile detection and geo tagging. The camera is capable of video recording.

Although the features of the mobile phone seem to be decent, but are they really interesting? The functions have nothing new to offer as we are already familiar with such features. The quality is almost similar to the best selling device Nokia 5800 and it will cost you around 250 Euro. It is definitely not the cheapest as there are Chinese counterparts. The design has great resemblance with HTC Desire and other models. Therefore, it is to be seen what response HTC Wildfire gets when it finally releases in June 2010.
