The Tappers, who are currently taking a break from Gogglebox, spoke out on Twitter yesterday, saying they were “very disappointed”. The Channel 4 cast members – including parents Nikki and Jonathan, son Josh and daughter Amy – slammed a Christmas treat they had ordered in view of their 78,000 followers. Uploading a post to the family’s official page, they hit out at Millie’s Cookies while sharing an “awful” picture. Their message, which quickly drew 51 replies, started: “Very disappointed by @MilliesCookies.”
The Tappers continued: “Ordered for delivery on 24th so it’s fresh for Xmas and arrived a day early looking nothing like the picture online.”
The accompanying shot saw an over-sized cookie with Merry Christmas written on it with a picture of Santa created with icing.
However, they compared their image to the one on the website, claiming it “looked nothing like” the promotional picture.
Millie’s Cookies later responded in view of their own 14,000 followers apologising: “I’m sorry to see this.

Millie’s Cookies told Express.co.uk “We’re sorry that the Tapper’s cookie wasn’t all they had hoped. We’ve given them a refund and a new cookie is on its way to them.”
Meanwhile, the foursome were quickly inundated with comments from fans, with one quipping: “Did they have the trainee in that day?”
Two others continued: “Sorry but that’s very disappointing! Hope you’ve complained!” and: “Oh is this a diet cookie? Looks like Santa has been dieting since last Xmas! Hope it tastes better then it looks!”
A fourth added: “Oh Millie’s Cookies, sort it out. That’s nothing like your picture. Santa looks like he’s been on Slimming World since last Christmas.”
But some defended the cookie: “Aww I think it’s cute! It’s not that bad. Not worth getting someone in trouble for on Christmas Eve. You’re going to eat it anyway,” as well as: “First world problems eh!!!”
It comes just a few months after a Channel 4 spokesperson said in a statement: “The Tappers are currently on a break but have not left the show.”
Although, Amy Tapper last week hinted that they could return to the hugely popular programme.
In an interview with OK! Magazine, the 18-year-old said: “At the moment, my family’s on a break from Gogglebox.
“My brother is focusing on his career so, yeah, we’re on a break.
“I think it all just depends on what opportunities come up and it very much depends…”
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Millie’s Cookies asking for comment.
Gogglebox airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 4.
