Arsenal news: Mesut Ozil thinks THIS about Unai Emery wanting him to go on loan

Arsenal star Ozil has been tipped to leave the club on loan in January amid his struggles under Emery.

Emery has regularly dropped the Germany international this season, making a decision that Arsene Wenger was always reluctant to make.

As a result, reports have claimed Arsenal may look to cut Ozil loose during the January transfer window, with Inter Milan and Manchester United both linked.

And the Daily Mail have now delved into Ozil’s state of mind over in north London.

The Gunners recently lost 2-0 to Tottenham in the EFL Cup.

But the 30-year-old was omitted from the match day squad, with Emery later saying: “It was a tactical decision, I thought the players today that are with us, were for us the best for this match.

“We have 24 or 25 players and when they are playing in one or not playing in another it is for me the decision and today it is tactical.

“The focus is to analyse this match and for Saturday, it is a very important match. Tomorrow we are going to train with every player.

“I am thinking about the match on Saturday and not thinking about another situation.

“Every player is important, I decided he didn’t play and it was only a tactical decision.”

Yet the Daily Mail say Ozil is happy at Arsenal.

However, the fact he is no longer a guaranteed starter will no doubt concern the World Cup winner.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp thinks Ozil’s days at Arsenal are numbered.

“I think he’s in big trouble to be honest because the manager doesn’t fancy him,” Redknapp said on Sky Sports.

“He got 20 minutes at the weekend, I wouldn’t say he gave a goal away but in one moment when he let the ball run and was a bit lackadaisical, he doesn’t fit the mould.

“Unless he changes as a player and starts to show desire to get around the pitch, have energy like the other midfielders have got in that team, he won’t get in.”
