
The 46-year-old delighted fans as she took to Instagram earlier this week. Just days before Christmas, Mary, Crown Princess of Denmark, shared a snap of one of the festive scenes from inside her home at Amalienborg, Denmark. In the capture, shared on the Danish Royal Family’s official Instagram page with their 263,000 followers, gave a glimpse at a huge Christmas tree. It had been decorated with a number of brightly coloured baubles, and had a large gold star on the top.
The luxurious tree stood on a red and green mat which had festive patterns.
On a nearby table lay baubles and fir cones.
As opposed to electric fairy lights, it also featured candles hanging from the branches.
This is a tradition for many people in Denmark.

Explaining who had taken the shot, the message revealed it was by the H.K.H. Kronprinsessen.
Fans rushed to share comments on the scene, with one person writing: “Wow, how beautiful.”
“A very tasteful tree in a very beautiful knight hall,” another comment translated as.
A third swooned: “Now that’s a Christmas tree.”
Another person wished the Royal Family good wishes, penning: “Merry Christmas to you all five and not least to the Queen.”

Meanwhile, the UK Royal Family was spotted making their way to a Christmas meal with Queen Elizabeth II yesterday.
Meghan Markle, 37, and her husband Prince Harry, 34, were pictured arriving at Buckingham Palace, as were Kate Middleton and Prince William, both 36.
Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, wore some very sparkly earrings for the occasion.
The festive lunch came before the Queen headed to Sandringham House on her Norfolk country estate today.
The Royal Family traditionally spend the Christmas and New Year holiday at Sandringham.
