The First Lady’s red Christmas Trees have drawn thousands of visitors to the White House over the festive period for tours of the East Wing. Mrs Trump unveiled the decorations after Thanksgiving on Monday, November 26. But amongst the thousands of visitors, disrespectful thieves have inundated Mrs Trump’s home.
Visitors have broken off the artificial branches and pocketed them as mementos.
Over 40 of the Christmas Trees line the colonnade which connects the East Entrance of the White House to the East Garden Room.
Thousands of tourists, who have booked up to three months in advance, come to the White House every morning for time tours.
More than 20,000 people have had a tour since November 27.

Melania Trump’s artificial trees are amongst only a few decorations that are in grabbing distance and do not attract as much scrutiny from Secret Service agents guarding the presidential mansion as rooms which are filled with historical artifacts.
The majority of rooms in the White House are blocked off by ropes that allow visitors to look but not enter.
Melania’s signature ‘Be Best’ ornaments and pencil wreaths, which would be a target to thugs, are kept behind the ropes which keep wandering tourists out of the rooms which are only visible from a distance.
All of the holiday decorations undergo regular maintenance.
Traditional forest green Christmas trees are also stationed across the East Wing.
Melania designed these around the theme ‘America’s Treasures’ in a bid to capture the spirit of American patriotism.
