Storm Deirdre caused travel hazards, power outages and disruptions this weekend across the United Kingdom.
Winds have gusted over 70 mph (110 km/h) at Pembrey Sands in southern Wales.
“Leeds and Bradford endured an extended period of freezing rain from the midday to the afternoon hours of Saturday,” AccuWeather Meteorologist Kristina Pydynowski said.

Officials tweeted not to approach fallen trees because they may hide fallen power lines.
“Freezing rain is rare in the United Kingdom as storms moving in from the Atlantic Ocean typically are accompanied by a push of milder air, and cold air gets scoured out fairly quickly,” Pydynowski said.
“On Saturday, cold air got locked in the deepest valleys as warmer air flowed overhead. That set the stage for the freezing rain event that created dangerous travel,” Pydynowski said.
