Man Utd news: ‘They must go’ – Jose Mourinho told TWO players he needs to sell in January

That is the opinion of Sky Sports pundit and former Arsenal and Celtic striker Charlie Nicholas.

Pogba and Mourinho’s strained relationship has constantly hit the headlines this season.

The France World Cup winner has seen his game time limited in recent weeks, not starting the last two Premier League games.

Nicholas cannot see any way both Pogba and Mourinho can carry on together at the club.

And he also thinks Bailly is one of a number of other players who would be better off leaving Old Trafford.

Asked if United need to sell Paul Pogba in January, Nicholas said: “Yes, absolutely.

“If the manager’s going to stay, then Pogba has to go. It’s as clear cut as that.

“Fulham was the biggest stroll that they’ve had this season and he just left him on the side.

“That was a statement of intent to say ‘I’m going to use you for Valencia because we don’t need a result there and see what reaction I get from you’.

“And it should be the case that he doesn’t play [against Liverpool on Sunday].

“He may surprise us all and say he’s a big-game player. But we’ve not seen that big-game player.

“If he’s saying ‘I’m staying and not moving’ then Pogba has to leave.

“And I would suggest two or three other players as in Bailly, I think I would move him on if I could, and possibly one or two others that’s within this group that I would happily say ‘give me whatever money we can get and get them out’.”

Manchester United are back in action on Sunday when they visit Anfield to face rivals Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s side are yet to lose in the Premier League this season.
