Stacey Dooley: 'Very serious' Strictly star and Kevin Clifton reveal training update

Stacey Dooley, 31, is a current contestant on the BBC show Strictly Come Dancing 2018 and is partnered with professional dancer Kevin Clifton, 36 on the popular dance competition. And the documentary maker took to Instagram today to reveal to her 438,000 Instagram followers that they’re taking their training very seriously. Stacey uploaded a short video with a caption which read: “We are taking the final very, very, very seriously.” The journalist filmed her dance partner Kevin as he sat at a table speaking to someone about their dietary requirements.

Kevin said: “Classic caramel digestives, dark chocolate digestives or a rich tea?”

The pair appeared to be ordering in some biscuits to assist them with their training.

Meanwhile, a former Strictly star showed their support for the dancing duo ahead of the final.

Susan Calman, who was partnered with Kevin on Strictly Come Dancing last year, took to social media to congratulate the pair.

Fans flocked to the comedian’s account to praise the Strictly stars as one fan wrote: “They are both great.”

Another person commented: “Absolutely fantastic. We loved you dancing with Kev too though @SusanCalman.”

A third person replied: “Love them! My favourites by a country mile!.”

Meanwhile, Kevin has hit back at claims he has plans to “quit” the show.

The professional dancer has been a part of the show for the past five years but it was recently reported he was set to leave the series.

Kevin took to Twitter to address the claims and wrote: “Wow, reports of me quitting @bbcstrictly today are the first I’ve heard of it. #ilovemyjob.”

Fans quickly bombarded the star with messages of support.

One person wrote: “Please silence reports that you are planning to leave Strictly. PS STACEY WAS AMAZING.”

Kevin replied: “Absolutely no plans to leave @bbcstrictly. No idea what this is about.”

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 final airs Saturday on BBC One at 6.30pm.
