
That is the view of former NBA star-turned-pundit Paul Pierce.
Curry – who sat out 11 games with a groin injury – has returned in impressive style and inspired the Warriors to a 129-105 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The two-time MVP weighed in with 42 and he top scored for the reigning NBA champions.
And Pierce thinks Curry would be a worthy contender for the MVP award.
“This is why I think he’s MVP,” Pierce said on After the Buzzer.

Pierce’s fellow pundit Chauncey Billups thinks Curry makes Warriors a stronger outfit.
“He demands so much attention on the floor,” Billups said.
“When he’s playing, they are able to just get set.
“He’s able to do a good job of keeping his head up while penetrating.
“His patience is exceptional.
“He can just get his feet set and he makes the whole team better.”
