Mate 20 Pro could soon have a new Chinese Android rival with an even better camera

Huawei Mate 20 Pro released back in October and has been an instant hit with Android fans thanks to its array of exciting features.

The device has been vastly popular for its triple-camera array that is certainly the most diverse and capable around.

Mate 20 Pro comes with a 40-megapixel main sensor that is accompanied by a 20-megapixel wide-angle lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto system.

The Android flagship is capable of capturing stunning shots but the device is certainly not a one-trick pony.

Instead the Mate 20 Pro backs up its supreme camera with a gorgeous 6.39-inch AMOLED display that has an incredible density of 538-pixels-per-inch.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

The product also has a 4,200mAh battery that breezes through an entire day of heavy usage.

And the hardware comes pre-installed with Android 9 Pie, meaning the device has all the latest and greatest features from Google, too.

The plethora of features offered by the Mate 20 Pro was one of the reasons Express.co.uk awarded the device a full five out of five stars in our review.

We said: “Whatever your phone is capable of, chances are the Mate 20 Pro can do it better.

“The Chinese flagship is by far the most innovative of 2018 thanks to its futuristic in-display fingerprint reader, surprisingly functional reverse wireless charging feature and flexible array of cameras.

“If Huawei’s P20 Pro spiked your interest in Huawei, the Mate 20 Pro is taking things to the next level. Those wanting the ultimate Android device would be wise to pay it plenty of attention.”

But it appears one of Huawei’s biggest Chinese rivals, Xiaomi, is intent on bettering the camera offered by the Mate 20 Pro.

Lin Bin, the co-founder and president of Xiaomi, recently took to Weibo and posted an image of a smartphone with a 48-megapixel sensor on its rear.

Lin added the camera is on a device from the tech behemoth that is set to release in January.

It is presumed the sensor in question is either Sony’s IMX586 or Samsung’s Bright GM1 that were announced in July and October respectively.

Unfortunately no further information about the Xiaomi device was provided.

However, the teaser image from the firm appears to set out its intent to achieve smartphone camera dominance and challenge offerings from rivals such as Huawei.

Xiaomi has only recently debuted in the UK; the firm recently launched its Mi 8 Pro smartphone that staunchly rivals the OnePlus 6 and 6T in terms of sheer value and features in store.

The Chinese tech giant has also opened its own store in London’s Westfield shopping centre where customers can purchase the firm’s array of hardware.
