Harry Redknapp has slowly but surely become Britons favourite contestant on ITV’s popular reality show I’m A Celeb. The retired football manager has won the hearts of eager I’m A Celeb fans all over Britain, but for Harry, there is only one person who has his heart. Harry Redknapp married his wife Sandra Harris in 1967 and have been married for more than 50 years.
The pair met at a London pub aged 17 and tied the knot four years later.
Talking to his campmates about his wife, he said: “She’s my life, you know.
“I’m a bit scared, you know? When you get older… I do love her too much, and if anything happened it would just kill me.”
This is not the only time on the popular reality show Harry has melted viewers’ hearts with tales of his long-lasting romance with Sandra.
He left his campmates in tears when he compared their marriage to “winning the lottery”.
Harry said: “We just get on so well, I only want to be with her.
“I can’t wait to see her.”
And his wife has also expressed her love for her husband, saying she was glad viewers are getting to know the real Harry.
Sandra told The Sun: “Harry’s a master storyteller.
“He went into the jungle with the aim of giving him something else to talk about down the pub with his mates.
“He knew he wasn’t going to manage another football team again, but he loves new challenges.
“He likes to keep busy and fit.”
However, Sandra may have to wait a little longer before she gets to see her husband again.
Bookies have put Harry odds-on at 4/6 to win this year’s I’m A Celeb, followed by Fleur East in second place.
Harry has been a long-time favourite and has headed the betting since the start of the show.
Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “Harry’s about 20 lengths ahead of his fellow celebrities at the moment and, while he needs to keep an eye out for Emily coming up the rails, he should win the race to become jungle king with ease.
