Harry Redknapp: I’m A Celebrity star 'forced to eat' as shocking weight loss revealed

The former football manager is looking noticeably slimmer since being on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! after living on basic rations such as rice and beans as well as very unusual meats.

Harry Redknapp, 71, has also been refusing to eat some of the food in the jungle, which has been won during BushTucker Trials.

The star admitted he would rather go hungry than delve into jungle food such as Wallaby, Emu and Silkie.

The Mirror have reported Harry has now lost as much as half a stone since arriving Down Under last month.

And his ex-campmate, Malique Thompson-Dwyer, who was voted out of the jungle on Sunday night, said they were “forcing” Harry to eat in camp.

The Hollyoaks actor called Harry a “fussy eater” and said he wouldn’t have made it through the gruelling days without the help of his campmates feeding him.

He told the publication: ”A lot of the meat, because Harry has lost his sense of smell, all the meat just looks absolutely disgusting to him.

“There have been days where we have to pretty much force him to eat.”

He added: “He is a fussy eater so we try to make it as nice as possible. Like baby food.”

During a BushTucker Trial where Harry had to eat jungle delicacies, he told hosts Holly Willoughby and Declan Donnelly he’s barely eaten anything.

He said: “I’ve struggled to eat the food in the camp. I don’t think I’ve really eaten anything.”

It was previously reported by The Sun the stars had lost four stone between them whilst being on the show.

Harry and his fellow campmates Nick Knowles, 56, Anne Hegerty, 60, John Barrowman, 51, are believed to have lost the most weight in the camp.

Emily Atack, 28, and Fleur East, 31, have also shed the pounds whilst in the jungle.

Showing off her slimmer figure, Emily spoke in the Bush Telegraph and spilled: “These were tight when I came in here.

“I just want to lose a bit of weight so that when I get home and it’s Christmas I have a bit of room and can put it back on again.

“I love food so much, I love cheese and champagne and salads, fries, yum.”

Harry is currently the favourite to be crowned King of the Jungle, with Emily and Fleur following close behind.

“We’ve seen a wave of support behind Fleur in the last 24 hours and if punters continue to back the popstar to win the series, she could be challenging Harry for favouritism very soon in the betting,” said Coral’s John Hill.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! 2018 continues tonight on ITV at 9pm.
