Transfer news LIVE updates: £75m Man Utd plan, Arsenal exit? Liverpool, Chelsea gossip

Ivan Perisic explains Man Utd snub

Ivan Perisic has explained his snub of Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho in the summer.

“I wanted Manchester United and I was about to accept,” Perisic said at a press conference earlier today.

“But I chose to stay because of [Juliano] Spalletti’s perseverance in wanting to play an important role, which are fundamental in football.”

Although he’s still enjoying his football in Milan, Perisic admits he has ambitions to play elsewhere.

He added: “In the future, I would like to play in other countries I hope the Nerazzurri fans understand.”

Chelsea eye Isco

Real Madrid boss Santiago Solari and Isco’s fractured relationship is a ’time bomb’ in the Bernabeu dressing room, according to reports in Spain.

The midfielder has been slipping further down the pecking order following the appointment of Solari.

Catalan daily Mundo Deportivo say their fractured relationship is running the risk of causing major issues behind the scenes.

Chelsea have been linked with a move for his signature in the build up to the January transfer window.

The Blues are looking to strengthen as they push for a place in the top four and Champions League qualification.

Man Utd target Raphael Varane

Manchester United are prepared to pay £75million for Raphael Varane if Real Madrid are willing to sell.

Ed Woodward is prepared to make the World Cup winner the most expensive defender in the world.

But Jose Mourinho could once again be vetoed on other potential targets, the Evening Standard claim.

Varane is under contract with the European champions until 2022.

And a January deal for the centre-back would be unlikely despite Mourinho being desperate to bolster his backline.

Arsenal youngster Joe Willock told to seek loan

Arsenal youngster Joe Willock must look for a loan move away from the club if he is not going to get a regular opportunity in the Gunners first-team, according to Martin Keown.

“I’ve been really impressed with this young man,” Keown said.

“And I think he’s demonstrating, above any other player on the pitch tonight, that he should be playing first-team football.

“Whether that be at Arsenal or somewhere else, he’s now reached that stage where he’s going to have to be allowed to play football.

“I think he’s been outstanding.

“Yes Premier League football or go to another club to play football as part of his development.”

Liverpool prepare £67m Christian Pulisic bid

Liverpool are ready to offer £67m for Borussia Dortmund ace Christian Pulisic.

The USA international has been linked with the Reds by Spanish outlet El Gol Digital.

Chelsea and Manchester United are also said to be interested in the winger.

Dortmund would prefer to sell Pulisic in the summer if at all which will provide a huge stumbling block for Jurgen Klopp.
