
SANTANDER DOWN – UPDATE ONE: Santander has confirmed that their online banking services are suffering issues right now.
In a server update to Express.co.uk, a spokesperson for the high street bank said: “We are currently experiencing intermittent service issues with our web and mobile banking services and our call centres.
“Payment and ATM services are running as normal. We are working as quickly as we can to fix the issue and will provide regular updates.”

Independent website Down Detector has received a surge of Santander down reports today – which is payday for many in the UK.

The outage monitor has received a peak of almost 1,300 reports of Santander down today.
Out of those Santander down reports 45 per cent related to internet banking and 40 per cent were to do with mobile banking.
Down Detector is an independent outage monitor which monitor social mentions around specific topics to detect when popular services go down.
Santander customers have flocked to social networking site Twitter to report issues with the online banking service.
One tweeted: “Is everyone’s Santander internet banking down?
And another posted: “Is Santander down? Cannot get to online banking”
One posted: “Santander is down, what an AMAZING TIME”.
And another added: “Santander UK is down – what fun”
Express.co.uk has contacted Santander for comment and the online banking server latest.
