Debbie McGee starred on Strictly Come Dancing in 2017 and quickly became a fan favourite. Just a year prior to her Strictly success the former ballet dancer lost her husband, comedian Paul Daniels. Mr Daniels died at the age of 77.

Debbie’s total fortune is not known, however, various pieces of information available give clues to how much she has.

Paul Daniels is said to have left just under £500,000 to his widow after his death in 2016, due to debts of more than £1 million claiming the rest of his money.

The entertainer died in mid-March 2016 after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

He left the bulk of his UK estate to his wife, according to his will.

The gross value was initially more than £1.5million, but the net value amounted to just under £500,000.

According to The Sun, it is also believed Debbie took a further £75,000 as her salary after making it to the Strictly finals.

Debbie has published multiple books in collaboration with Susan Wilson, although her earnings from this work are unknown.

How did Debbie McGee and Paul Daniels meet?

Debbie McGee was the assistant of Paul Daniels in his magic show called The Paul Daniels Magical Show on BBC One.

She was commonly introduced as “the lovely Debbie McGee”.

In an interview with the Guardian in 2014, Daniels recalled advising his future wife in the early days that their age gap may prove controversial.

The couple had a 21 year age difference.

He said: “We dated a little, but she was far too young.

“I said: ‘Those nasty people called journalists will shred you, call you a gold-digger. Find someone your own age’.”

After Paul Daniels death, Debbie McGee said she was comforted by their long-lasting love.
