BT broadband speed boost as firm reveals the ultimate Wi-Fi for your home

Some BT customers are about to see much better broadband in their homes thanks to a new service from the supplier.

The telecoms firm has just announced the launch of its new Complete Wi-Fi solution which it says will boost average speeds in a four-bedroom house by around 25 percent.

Launching as part of BT’s Plus package, the Complete Wi-Fi service includes a new Smart Hub router and signal boosting Wi-Fi disc.

BT says that its new Hub 2 features seven antennas which are uniquely positioned to maximise power with the refreshed Wi-Fi Discs instantly pairing with this box to create a single seamless, powerful wi-fi network in a customer’s home.

And if one boosting Wi-Fi disc isn’t filling your entire house with broadband, BT will add up to another two for free.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

The company is so confident that it will help improve coverage in your home that they guarantee a signal in every room or you’ll get money back.

Speaking about the launch Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s Consumer business said: “Strong, reliable Wi-Fi has never been so important in the home, with families using even more connected devices and wanting to make the most of every room in the home.

“We’re the first broadband provider in the world to launch a Complete Wi-Fi guarantee so customers can get online from every corner of their homes. Although this new service will bring improved speeds and a better connection it is a premium option with a high price.

Those wanting to take BT up on this offer will firstly need to have a BT Plus account with the Complete Wi-Fi service costing an extra £5 per month.

It’s also worth noting that some features found on the current BT Whole Home Wi-Fi system aren’t yet enabled on this new product.

These include unique control such as blocking devices from accessing the web and setting up a guest password for your network.

BT says that parental controls can still be added via your account and it’s looking to add extra features to the Complete Wi-Fi in the future.
