PS Plus December 2018 UPDATE: Latest PS4 and PlayStation Plus free games news

The PS Plus December 2018 free games lineup will be announced by Sony later this week.

The good news is that fans will soon find out what new PS4 titles will be available to download in the last month of 2018.

Last year, Sony PlayStation offered Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition on PS4 alongside another title that was a little less well known.

And fans will probably be hoping for an upgrade on Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends.

From the pedigree of free PS4 games made available during 2018 already, it’s fair to say that Sony could continue their winning streak.

Right now, fans can download Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami, both of which were pretty well-received.

These titles will remain available alongside the others from November until December 4, at which time, they will be swapped out with new games.

So when will the new PS Plus December 2018 games lineup be announced by Sony PlayStation?

From how Sony has done most other PlayStation Plus announcements this year, we’re looking at Wednesday, November 28 as the final reveal date.

The tech giant has such a well-known formula for their announcements that fans can probably look on the official website at around 4:30pm for confirmation.

So far there have been no sizeable leaks to suggest what will be made downloadable next month.

Regarding predictions, Sony first-party games are always a good shout. Games like Uncharted 4, Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection, Killzone 3 and The Order 1886 are viable options.

That’s on top of games like The Last of Us 2 Remastered and Gravity Rush.

Other possibilities include Watch Dogs, Far Cry 4, Fallout 4, Dark Souls 2 and Wasteland 2.

It follows news of a recent Sony financial report confirming strong numbers for the PS Plus subscription service.

It has now been confirmed that PlayStation Plus has helped bring about an 8% upward revision in sales.

This includes the sales of PS4 hardware, as well as increases in sales of the PlayStation Plus subscription service.

An exact share hasn’t been revealed but will be welcome news following the dip in subscribers from March 2018 to June 2018.

It should be noted that the content you have downloaded as part of your PlayStation Plus subscription at no charge is only accessible as long as you are an active subscriber.

The exceptions are free themes and avatars, which you will continue to have access to, even if you are no longer a subscriber.

Anything you have purchased (even if you bought it at a discount) will remain available to you even if your subscription ends.

Also, different countries have different rights, release schedules and, have different things available on their PlayStation Store for this reason.

So this is why you may hear about different games being available in Asia, Europe and North America when it comes to some PS Plus announcements.

The current PS Plus November 2018 lineup includes:

  • Yakuza Kiwami (PS4)
  • Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition (PS4)
  • Jackbox Party Pack 2 (PS3)
  • Arkedo Series (PS3)
  • Burly Men At Sea (PS Vita + PS4)
  • Roundabout (PS Vita + PS4)
