Melania Trump gives SNEEK PEAK at White House Christmas decorations and they look STUNNING

Three photos were posted, with two showing decorations being placed on Christmas trees, whilst the third depicts lights being attached to a festive garland around a doorway. Last Monday, Mrs Trump joined her husband to welcome the arrival of the official White House Christmas tree. The 19.5 foot tall Fraser fir was selected from a farm in North Carolina, owned by Larry Smith of Newland.

Mrs Trump commented: “Thank you to all volunteers from across our great nation who are working hard to decorate the White House.

“Can’t wait to view it all tomorrow night.”

The images received a rapturous response from other Twitter users.

Jude Morgan, a retired naval officer, commented: “That sounds like so much fun! Hope its everything your family wants. It’s going to be spectacular!”

Another user, Leesa Rigby from Florida, added: “What a thrill it had to be for the volunteers!

“I wasn’t chosen, but it was very exciting to wait and hope for the opportunity.”

The official White House Christmas tree was delivered last week by a horse drawn wagon.

The President and First Lady circled the fir tree together, with Trump appearing to nod in approval.

A spectacular chandelier is being removed from the Blue Room of the White House, an oval curved arena, to allow room for the tree.

Before being placed the tree was trimmed to the perfect shape by the US National Park Service.

According to a post on the White House website: “Mr Smith has been retailing Christmas trees since 1980, and has competed in the National Christmas tree contest four times previously.

“After providing a tree for the Vice President’s residence in 2001, he delivered a tree to the White House for the first time this year!”

Separately the national Christmas tree lighting ceremony is due to take place in Washington DC on November 28.

A group of singing nuns, the Dominican Sisters of Mary Mother of the Eucharist, are amongst those who will perform.

President Trump attended the event last year commenting: “We’re thrilled to think of the people, across the nation and all across the continents, whose spirits are lifted by the miracle of Christmas.”
