Windows 10 suffers yet ANOTHER glitch as Microsoft fans face more issues after update

It’s not been a good time for users.

pushed out an update to its popular operating system last week which, although it had no new features, was aimed at making ‘quality improvements’.

However, once download it has been causing havoc with the .

Microsoft has confirmed the problems saying: “After installing this update, users may not be able to use the Seek Bar in Windows Media Player when playing specific files.

“Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update in an upcoming release.”

Now some more issue have been found which are affecting some Intel display drivers and users of Apple’s iCloud.

In a post on their support page, Microsoft states: “Microsoft has identified issues with certain, new Intel display drivers.

“Intel inadvertently released versions of its display driver (versions 24.20.100.6344, 24.20.100.6345) to OEMs that accidentally turned on unsupported features in Windows.

“After updating to Windows 10, version 1809, audio playback from a monitor or television connected to a PC via HDMI, USB-C, or a DisplayPort may not function correctly on devices with these drivers.”

And it seems some iCloud users can’t access their accounts with the Redmond company confirming: “Apple has identified an incompatibility with iCloud for Windows (version 7.7.0.27) that may cause users to have issues updating or synching Shared Albums after updating to Windows 10, version 1809.

“Users who attempt to install iCloud for Windows (version 7.7.0.27) on Windows 10, version 1809 will see a message stating that this version of iCloud for Windows isn’t supported, and the installation will fail.

“Microsoft is working with Apple to provide a compatible version of iCloud for Windows 10, version 1809 in an upcoming release.”

There’s no word on when these problems will be fixed but these latest bugs arrive just weeks after users were hit by a major problem when their files began being deleted.

One user, posting on Reddit, said: ”Last night I updated to 1809, and it all went smoothly, but then I find that all my files in Documents are DELETED.”

The problem was so serious, Microsoft temporarily stopped the rollout of this latest version whilst it worked on a fix.

In a statement, Microsoft confirmed: “We have paused the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) for all users as we investigate isolated reports of users missing some files after updating.”

That initial problem was quickly fixed with John Cable, Director of Program Management, Windows Servicing and Delivery, saying: “In early October, we paused the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update as we investigated isolated reports of users missing files after updating.

“We take any case of data loss seriously, and as I noted on October 9, we have thoroughly investigated and resolved all related issues.

“In addition to extensive internal validation, we have taken time to closely monitor feedback and diagnostic data from our Windows Insiders and from the millions of devices on the Windows 10 October Update, and we have no further evidence of data loss.

“Based on this data, today we are beginning the re-release of the October Update by making it available via media and to advanced users who seek to manually check for updates.”
