Galaxy Note 9 could soon be dwarfed if this Samsung rumour is true

Galaxy Note 9 debuted at Samsung’s Unpacked event in New York City back in August and was acclaimed for the vast number of flagship features it brought to the table.

Although the Galaxy Note 9 retained a very similar aesthetic to its predecessor, it made a number of notable changes both internally and with its signature S Pen stylus.

The flagship phablet was powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 chipset in the US and Samsung’s own Exynos 9810 processor in other territories such as the UK.

Most notably, the Note 9 arrived with a 4,000mAh battery that easily delivered all-day life.

We loved the device at Express.co.uk, giving it five out of five stars in our review of the product.

But it appears the Note 9 could soon be dwarfed by its successor, according to a new report from iGeekphone.

Citing sources quoted from South Korean media, the outlet stated the presumably-titled Galaxy Note 10 could come with a display as big as 6.66-inches.

If true, this would mark a significant screen-size increase from the Galaxy Note 9 that boasted a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen.

And it also means the Galaxy Note 10 could flaunt a bigger panel than the iPhone Xs Max that currently has one of the largest on any leading flagship.

iPhone Xs Max was showcased by Apple back in September and comes with a 6.5-inch display.

The outlet also declared the Galaxy Note 9 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 successor that is expected to be more efficient and powerful.

The American firm has been heavily rumoured to be planning the unveiling of a new mobile chipset towards the end of the year.

Such a processor is also expected to power the Galaxy S10 in some regions, such as the US.

Samsung’s Galaxy Note series typically takes on characteristics from the firm’s Galaxy S-line of products.

And with rumours surrounding the S10 heating up, fans of the South Korean tech giant may have a good indication of features to expect with the new Note.

The Galaxy S10 has been predicted to arrive with a triple-camera system and boast a display with incredibly minimal bezels.

Moreover, many have emphasised the device will come with a fingerprint sensor underneath its display, providing a new and intuitive way to unlock the handset.

If the Galaxy S10 does have these features, it is highly-likely the Galaxy Note 10 will follow suit.
