The 28-year-old comedy actress is said to have “clicked” with comedian Seann Walsh at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival two years ago. Seann was dating actress Rebecca Humphries at the time, who he split up with last month following his kiss with married Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Jones. Emily and Seann were pictured getting close in a London pub in 2016.
They were spotted holding hands and chatting in the corner, while also repoortedly “gazing into each others eyes”.
An onlooker told the Mirror: “It was Christmas so everyone was very jolly in the pub, I turned round and immediately recognised Seann as I had seen him doing stand-up a few times.
“Then I clocked who he was with. My mate really fancies Emily Atack so I decided to take a few pictures.
“I immediately thought they were a couple, he was holding her hand and she was gazing into his eyes.”However, a source close to Seann responded that this was entirely innocent: “They are just mates… there is absolutely nothing untoward.”
Emily, as Charlotte Hinchcliffe in comedy series The Inbetweeners, revealed she would not discuss the rumours during a recent interview with this week’s OK! Magazine.
She said: “I think Seann has had enough stuff in the press about him, so I won’t be talking about Seann.
“When you start talking about your love life in the public life it’s a recipe for disaster.”
The actress did mention she would not turn down a romance if it happened.
She added: “I am single at the moment. And never say never.
“We are in a situation where we are all not going to smell our best, nor look our best, and I can’t really imagine it happening but hey, who knows?! It’s a bit of fun.”
Emily also bravely won nine out of the ten stars for the I’m a Celeb camp, when she took on the challenge titled Viper Pit this week.
