Joe Sugg, 27, and his Strictly Come Dancing professional partner Dianne Buswell, 29, scored 38 out of 40 for their phenomenal routine on Saturday night.
Following the Blackpool extravaganza, Joe has revealed he fell ill with a stomach bug.
Taking to his Instagram today, the YouTube sensation told his army of fans he was struck down with the bug which affected his rehearsals on Monday.
Joe explained to his 5.7 million followers: “I didn’t post anything yesterday because I got a stomach bug, a 24 hour vomiting bug.
“Hence why I have got this dirty little moustache still,” he said before showing off his facial hair. “I haven’t shaved it off!”
Looking forward to this week of rehearsals, he added: “Feeling better today and now I’m ready to Lindy Hop and Street Dance and Commercial.”
This weekend, Joe and Dianne will be performing a Street and Commercial dance from their Couple’s Choice category.
The two will be dancing their routine to song Jump Around by House of Pain.
On Sunday, Dianne appears thrilled to have survived another week and looked ahead to their next performance.
Sharing a photo of herself and Joe from Blackpool, the Australian dancer wrote on Instagram: “Quick let’s step into week 10.
“Awwww guys thank you all so much for your votes and your support have been reading so many happy positive comments about our quickstep we are so glad you all enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed performing it.
“Love you all and cya next week for another dance @joe_sugg.”
Despite their amazing performance, Joe’s popularity based on social media engagement has reportedly decreased.
Data, provided by website Socialbakers, suggested Joe’s interactions on social media has gone down by a third.
Elsewhere, Charles Venn and Karen Clifton’s popularity has grown with the Casualty actor now in the running to get his hands on the Glitterball trophy.
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Omri Erel, SVP Marketing from Socialbakers said: “Charles Venn impressed with his moves on the dancefloor this week, and wowed viewers across the nation, who took to social media to voice their praise.
“Charles’ total social media interactions skyrocketed 233 per cent since last week, making him one of the most talked about celebrities on the show.”
He continued: “On the other hand, social media star Joe Sugg seems to be losing momentum, with his profile interactions down almost a third (32.95 per cent) from last week, a worrying trend for the brother of famous YouTube star, Zoella.
“Despite his high score of 38, his young fans seem to be growing tired of following the YouTube sensation on the show.”
Strictly Come Dancing 2018 will air on Saturday on BBC One at 6.50pm
