Liverpool news: Man City will do ONE thing which will boost Jurgen Klopp – Reds hero

That’s the view of Liverpool hero Jan Molby, who is excited by the start Jurgen Klopp’s side have made to the season.

The Reds are unbeaten in the Premier League but still sit two points behind reigning champions City.

The pair have already met this season, ending in a 0-0 draw at Anfield.

But the Merseysiders have drawn three of their 12 games compared to City being held just twice.

A number of stars from both sides featured in the World Cup during the summer.

And Molby believes that will impact Manchester City’s performances at some point this season.

“When you look at our fixtures one at a time you wonder who is going to beat us,” Molby wrote for the Liverpool Echo.

“I know that somebody will beat us but we have a strong look about us.

“It might not be as exciting as it was last season but it’s a tough unit now.

“Manchester City have clearly hit the ground running but at some point they’ll have a World Cup hangover.

“They’ve had Kevin De Bruyne injured already while Benjamin Mendy has just had knee surgery so they’ll have their problems.

“You’ve just got to try and keep as close to them as you can while they’re playing well and don’t give them a gap.

“Liverpool have to maintain the pressure and see what happens.”

Despite Liverpool never having won the Premier League, Klopp insists he isn’t hindered by any expectation.

“I don’t feel pressure. That’s how it is,” the manager said.

“I made a decision long ago for myself: I give everything I have.

“I don’t hold anything back. In this moment, I can’t do better. I am really like I am.

“I know a lot about football. Do I know everything? I don’t think anybody [does] but I know a lot about it.

“I expect a lot from myself but there is no pressure.

“We want to win each game and if we don’t win it then we want to win the next one.”
