Galaxy S10 leak may have revealed some huge details about this Samsung device

Galaxy S10 is the presumed name given to the Galaxy S9’s successor.

Samsung has made a tradition of announcing its S-line of flagship products at Mobile World Congress (MWC), a technology show that takes place in Barcelona annually, and the Galaxy S10 is expected to be no different.

A recent report from Bloomberg, citing sources familiar with the matter, insisted Samsung is planning to launch three versions of the Galaxy S10.

Such a move would represent a huge break in tradition for the Galaxy S series that has recently only been showcased in standard and Plus variants.

However, the outlet declared the South Korean tech giant will deliver a “more affordable version” of the product this time around.

It was insisted the “standard” S10 will be equipped with a triple-camera system, a signature Samsung curved OLED display and “almost no bezel at the top and bottom”.

Moreover, it was added the device will place its fingerprint reader underneath its display, similar to functionality already offered by the OnePlus 6T and Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

But now it appears more details about the Galaxy S10 have leaked courtesy of renowned tipster Evan Blass.

He recently took to twitter and said the forthcoming flagship will tout a “‘punch hole’ style” cutout for the front-facing camera.

And he added the S10’s claimed triple-camera system will be comprised of a standard, wide-angle and a telephoto sensor.

Such a system is reminiscent of the Huawei Mate 20 Pro that also has three lenses, performing the same functions, on its rear.

Blass also explained the Galaxy S10 will arrive with an ultrasonic fingerprint reader and come pre-installed with Samsung’s One UI software over Android 9 Pie.

Most notably, the renowned tipster stated the “punch hole” style of the screen means the Galaxy S10 could feature Samsung’s recently debuted Infinity-O display.

During Samsung’s recent developer conference in San Francisco the firm showed off four next-generation displays that are going to feature in forthcoming devices.

Dubbed, Infinity-U, Infinity-V, Infinity-O and New Infinity, three of them were shown featuring a divisive cutout.

Infinity-O was shown featuring a circular cutout that did not bleed into the traditional bezels.

This means while the Galaxy S10 could forgo a traditional notch, it may still have a hole in its display for the front-facing camera.

While rumours are currently rife surrounding the Galaxy S10 ahead of its presumed debut, no details about the product have been officially confirmed by the South Korean manufacturer.
