The new MacBook Air 2018 is now on sale with Apple finally giving its popular laptop a major overhaul.
This updated machine gets a stunning 13.3-inch Retina display, lighter design and more power via the latest Core i5 processor.
There’s also an upgraded keyboard which now includes a Touch ID fingerprint scanner so you can unlock the Mac and pay for shopping online via a simple tap.
Apple has ditched the famous the MagSafe and replaced it with two USB-C Thunderbolt ports which charge the device and offer connections to numerous external devices and displays.
Along with offering a swathe of updates, this is also Apple’s greenest laptop with it made from 100 percent recycled aluminium.

This is a fabulous laptop with Express.co.uk saying in a recent MacBook Air review: “The MacBook Air is back and we’re happy to say it’s lost none of its charm.
“This hugely popular Mac has been brought back to life with a stunning new lightweight design, improved Retina screen and added extras such as Touch ID and Apple’s Force Touch trackpad.
“Fans of this laptop are going to love this update as it takes the concept of power and ultimate portability to a whole new level.”
However, for all of its greatness, it does come with one huge disadvantage.
The previous generation MacBook Air can be purchased for under £800 but this latest model will now set you back £1,199.
That’s a high price to pay especially if you begin adding extra memory and RAM – but there is a way of making this device much more affordable.
John Lewis is currently offering the MacBook Air 2018 with 18-months interest free credit.
That means you can spread the cost of this new purchase with a monthly price of £66.
There’s no catch although you do need to hand over a 10 percent deposit to take advantage of the finance.
Along with the new MacBook Air, Apple has also recently released its updated iPad Pro.
This new tablet now includes an edge-to-edge display, more power via the A12X Bionic processor and improved accessories such as the upgraded Apple Pencil.
This digital stylus now sticks to the side of the Pro and gets recharged wirelessly.
Prices for the iPad Pro start from £799 with John Lewis also offering zero percent finance on these devices.
