Fortnite Save the World free code latest as Epic Games reveals season 6 roadmap

A new roadmap has been shared by Epic Games for the remainder of Fortnite Save the World season 6.

The next patch being released by the development team will include a few notable upgrades that will interest fans.

In a new roadmap update from the team, it’s been confirmed the Fortnite update 6.30 will introduce some of the first changes revealed in the State of Development 2018 blog.

While Epic Games didn’t go into a great amount of depth on what this might be, they did confirm a new blogpost will be released early next week.

So fans can probably expect an update on Monday or Tuesday.

This is likely to include some of the front-end UI announced alongside the disappointing free code news,” a message from Epic Games explains.

“We’re reorganising menu options to make them easier to find and converting some old UI tutorial quests to use a new callout system.

“Additionally, we’re adding polish and character(s) to the menus. At the end of this revamp we want to move more of your Fortnite experience into the game rather than in the front-end.

“We’ll release an in-depth look at all these incoming changes in the next few weeks, to prepare for the rollout in the next few months.”

Another item is being added to the game on November 13, this being a store item for fans to look at.

The Last Word Revolver arrives next week and will allow players to “Fire from the hip to shoot with speed or aim down sights for improved accuracy with this brand new six shooter.”

That’s all for the week of November 12; however, Epic Games has also confirmed what will follow these changes in the weeks to come.

6.30 Content Update (Week of 11/20)

  • Ghost Pistol
  • Fires balls of ghostly energy that pass through enemies and the world

6.31 (Week of 11/27)

  • Canny Valley Part 2 – The story continues!
  • New Melee Weapon added to the weekly store

It looks like the Canny Valley story will wrap up in 2018, while a new a brand new Winter event is also on the way.

These big announcements follow the disappointing news that Fortnite Save the World will not be going free to play in 2018.

This big update has been delayed and currently has no release date on PS4, Xbox One, or PC.

From what has been shared so far, Epic Games want to make significant changes to how the game works.

This will be connected to making the game viable in an F2P model, something that will likely mimic Battle Royale mode.

New cosmetics seem like an excellent way to support the game in the future, although it’s not the only things holding back the F2P.

Epic Games believes a lot of Battle Royale players will want to try Save the World, meaning they need to do some serious server upscaling.

“We decided to move the free-to-play launch of Save the World out of this year,” the latest statement from Epic Games adds.

“We’re working on a broad set of features, reworks, and backend system scaling we believe are needed to go free-to-play.

“Save the World has grown consistently since our launch in July 2017, and Fortnite overall has experienced unprecedented growth.

“Scaling up for the legions of player heroes who will be joining the fight is key to providing an excellent experience.

“This applies to all of our players, old and new, so we’re taking the time to get this right.”
