Stacey Dooley: Strictly star makes a SHOCK admission ahead of show ‘You’d be very bored'

Current favourite on Strictly Come Dancing 2018, Stacey Dooley, 31, had a brief stay in hospital last week after she had suffered an injury during rehearsals.

Despite the minor setback, the filmmaker returned to rehearsals ahead of last week’s performance.

However, she recently took to Instagram live to give her 348,000 followers and update after a fan asked her she was feeling.

The fan asked: “How’s the injury?”

Stacey replied: “I’m good as gold now. I’m still on the drugs I’m feeling much, much better now – codeine and paracetamol.”

“I’m very un-rock and roll, you would be very bored.”

Earlier this month, the journalist uploaded a picture of her lying on a hospital bed giving a peace sign to the camera.

She smiled for the lens sporting a hospital gown and leggings.

Stacey assured her fans she hadn’t broken a bone and revealed she will be back on the dance floor.

She commented: “Nothing’s broke! All the drugs and all the cuppas gonna hook us up!

“See you Sat! THANK YOU SO SO MUCH TO ALL THE STAFF. You are all b****y amazing.”

The journalist certainly did not let an injury stop her from impressing the judges on last week’s show.

Stacey and her professional dance partner Kevin Clifton performed the couple’s choice to Alicia Keys empire State of Mind (Part II).

The judges were blown away by her performance and the pair scored 36 points out of 40.

Fans flocked to social media to praise the star on her performance as one said: “So deserved. I have no idea how you and @kevincliifton didn’t get four tens. Best dance ever!”

Another person said: “@staeydooley you are my favourite @bbcstrictly contestant ever.”

A third person commented: “Congratulations on another great week. Your getting better all the time. That street contemporary was amazing.

“Keep up the good work. Can’t wait to see you and Kevin dance next week.”

The dancing pair are gearing up to perform the Waltz to Moon River by Audrey Hepburn.

Strictly Come Dancing 2018 continues Saturday at 7pm.
