CRYSTAL PALACE 0-0 TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR

  • We are underway at Selhurst Park
  • Wilfried Zaha misses out with hamstring injury
  • Alli return to Spurs line-up as Winks is benched
  • Spurs could go two points of Manchester City with victory

21: Kane gets dispossessed after a quick take-on, he’s been very quiet so far.

20: Sissoko weaves his way through Palace’s defence and finds an angle from 12 yards out, but Sakho puts his body on the line and blocks the shot.

17: Foyth does look a bit shaky – the centre-back just passed the ball out of play when trying to play a simple ball to Lloris.

16: Townsend runs in behind, bullying Foyth off the ball and unleashes an effort which just evades the near post.

13: CHANCE! Kouyate was poised for an effort from point blank range, but Lucas – who was for some reason lingering in his box – managed to clear it away from the midfielder.

11: Sakho – who perennially looks like he is about to give the ball away but never does – heads Trippier’s cross away for a corner, which comes to nothing.

08: The young Foyth brings out the ball from defence and sprays a pinpoint ball out to the flanks – hard to see the receiver in the rain. Nice to see confidence in the 20-year-old.

07: Ayew gives Alderweireld a good nudge in the back and wins a corner – you get the feeling he’ll try to roughen up the novice Foyth soon, too.

Mauricio Pochettino

04: Alli gets a chance to play in the in-form Lamela, but his ball goes awry.

03: Spurs make their inentions clear early doors, playing out from the back under pressure. Davies draws a fortuitous foul from Townsend.

01: The home side get us underway, attacking left to right.

KICK-OFF

Crystal Palace

17:25: We will observe a minute’s silence before the game to remember the fallen war heroes of the past.

Nevertheless, ‘Glad All Over’ is belted out over the tannoys, as is the terrifically corporate Premier League anthem.

Not long now, good atmosphere under the lights.

Before we look forward, though, time to remember.

MAURICIO POCHETTINO INTERVIEW

17:20: Fairly sedate stuff from the Argentine manager, who laughed when posed with the fact that Spurs love playing away from Wembley – they have won six of their seven away games in the Premier League this season.

“The Watford game was a very comfortable victory in first half but in the end we lost the game. But we are doing very well away from home, nevertheless,” Pochettino said.

“But of course it’s so important to win and keep our good position in the table.”

Wilfried Zaha

ROY HODGSON INTERVIEW

The Eagles manager confirms that Wilfried Zaha is out with a hamstring injury, and believes his side can take heart from their loss to Chelsea last weekend.

Wilfried is injured, he picked up a hamstring strain in training and I was warned he wouldn’t be ready and that is the case.

“They are a very good team, they’ve got such enormous firepower. They’ve got so many players that can score a goal.

“What we can do is frustrate them and take our chances, like we almost did against Chelsea.”

17:00: Just 30 minutes until kick-off now – the question is, are you ready for a stat attack?

  • Crystal Palace have lost their last six Premier League games against Tottenham Hotspur, scoring just one goal across those matches
  • Crystal Palace are winless in their five Premier League home games this season – their longest such run at the start of a league season since 1997-98 (winless in first 15)
  • Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has won eight Premier League games against Crystal Palace – against no side has he won more (also eight against Swansea City)

Harry Kane

16:50: Former Palace manager Sam Allardyce his on the BT Sport coverage and has piled in with what’s going wrong for the club this season

“I see the games that they’ve played and they’re an equal match to the opposition, but they can’t finish them off,” said Big Sam.

He then went on ruffle a few feathers with his outlandish comment of: “Hopefully it will be a really good match, we’re all looking forward to it.”

More from the big man and Jermaine Jenas to come.
