That’s the view of Sky Sports pundit Carl Froch, who believes Bellew has the heart and determination to upset the odds.
Most bookies have Usyk as a clear favourite going into the fight at Manchester Arena with the Ukrainian having won all 15 of his fights.
He became WBO cruiserweight champion in just his 10th professional fight and now heads to the UK in Bellew’s last fight.
The Brit is set to hang up the gloves no matter what the result is tonight having previously been WBC cruiserweight champ.
Bellew, 35, has lost twice during his 33-fight career with the last of those defeats coming against Adonis Stevenson in 2013.

And though the odds are against him, close friend Froch is tipping Bellew to take the belts home tonight.
“Don’t underestimate Tony Bellew’s ability to box, he’s got a good boxing brain,” Froch told iFL TV.
“He can punch quite hard as well as a few of his opponents have found out.
“Usyk is going to be conscious of the fact that Tony Bellew bangs a bit and he’s going to go on his back foot and box.
“I don’t like to say Tony Bellew’s only chance is to hit Usyk early and hard and potentially knock him out but you get the feeling it’s his only chance to win.
“But I think if he stays with Usyk and can make him make a mistake, which he doesn’t do often, then he has a chance.
“I’m going to pick Bellew to win by knockout. A lot of people might laugh at that but Tony Bellew is my mate.
“I’m not just saying it because he’s my mate and I want him to win.
“If you stick with it, eventually you land something. Tony Bellew is going to land a big shot and shock absolutely everyone.”
