Red Dead Redemption 2 money glitch: How to get THOUSANDS of dollars with gold bars

Red Dead Redemption 2 is set in 1889, when even $10 was a lot of money. Gamers have discovered a glitch which can earn players a handsome payday. Gold bars –easily the game’s the most valuable commodity at $500 each – can be yours using this handy glitch.

Gamers can exploit a glitch to trick the game into thinking they have not collected a gold bar, despite the dollars repeatedly adding to their inventory.

You need to first find the sheriff’s office in the town of Limpany.

Limpany is directly South of Caliban’s Seat and just North of Flatneck Station.

The sheriff’s office is close to your base camp, so the easiest way to find Limpany is to return to camp and begin from there.

Open the loot box, which will then highlight the gold bar.

Pause the game as Arthur reaches down.

Go to the Story menu and save the game.

Then load back using the recent save.

Next return to the Sheriff’s office in town.

You will now be able to collect as many gold bars as you want.

You can collect 30 gold bars at once, which is worth $15,000.

There is a variation to this:

Instead of bending down and saving, simply save after opening the lockbox, before taking either he gold bar or the pamphlet.

Returning to the lockbox reveals only the gold bar, with the pamphlet now missing.

Next hold the Take button to make continuously collect the gold bars.

It is important to load up the correct save as selecting the wrong one fixes the glitch.
