The 26-year-old has enjoyed a largely positive start to life at Anfield, keeping seven clean sheets in 15 games in all competitions including six in 11 in the Premier League.
The Reds’ new No 1 was a key part of a Liverpool back-line that set a new club record of conceding just three goals in their first nine top-flight matches.
And a Goal voting panel have even adjudged Alisson to have enjoyed the best 2018 of any keeper in their end-of-year top-50 players in the world.

Asked about who he views as the best other keepers on the planet, Alisson named Atletico Madrid’s Jan Oblak – who Liverpool were linked with before signing him – and Marc-Andre ter Stegen of Barcelona.
But not among the players he named was Manchester United’s De Gea, who is widely considered the best in the Premier League.
And he also suggested that Juventus legend Gianluigi Buffon – now at Liverpool’s Champions League group stage opponents Paris Saint-Germain – may be the best goalkeeper of all time over the likes of Peter Schmeichel, Oliver Kahn and Iker Casillas.
Speaking to Goal, Alisson said: “I always liked to watch goalkeepers. Watch their styles, their strengths and flaws, to learn something and improve.
“From my childhood, I always looked to [Claudio] Taffarel. He’s our biggest goalkeeping idol in Brazil from the 1994 World Cup, when we won on penalties in the final.
“In the 1998 World Cup semi-final [against Netherlands], he also saved a penalty kick; both are key moments.
“He had technical quality, perfect positioning, so he’s a goalkeeper that always inspired me.
“Also Gianluigi Buffon, he, for me, is one of the best in the history of football, if not the best.
“I like Oblak, he’s one I follow very closely. And Ter Stegen. Both of them are greats.
“There are others, but at this point, these are the ones that are showing more.
“Very high technical level, very high concentration level too; they are raising the competition level among us goalkeepers.
“It’s a healthy competition to see which of us will be the best at the end of the year.”
