Red Dead Redemption 2 animals all form part of a complex ecosystem that must continually fight for survival of the fittest in the game’s food chain. The Red Dead Redemption 2 wilderness is at once a bountiful and perilous place for both man and beast and any predator can quickly become prey. Legendary Animals are some of the most valuable creatures RDR2 gamers can discover in the wild and require a more nuanced approach to hunting for pelts, hides and skins.
16 Legendary Animals roam Red Dead Redemption 2, but only 10 of them are unlocked once Chapter One is completed.
Three Legendary Animals exist as part of specific story missions or Hunting Challenge milestones:
Legendary Bharati Grizzly Bear: Completion of Chapter Two’s Exit Pursued By a Bruised Ego mission.
Legendary Bullgator: Features in Chapter Four’s Country Pursuits mission.
Legendary Giaguaro Panther: Reaching rank nine in the Master Hunter challenges.
Another three can only be unlocked once the Blackwater bounty has been lifted, by completing Chapter Six.
These three Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Animals are:
Legendary Cougar: Completion of Chapter Six.
Legendary Pronghorn: – Completion of Chapter Six.
Legendary Tatanka Bison – Completion of Chapter Six.

Red Dead Redemption 2 Legendary Animal locations:
It is more complicated than simply visiting a location and an animal appearing on cue – players will need track the beast before you get an opportunity to take it down.
The game will inform you once that you have entered a Legendary Animal’s territory.
Then explore the territory until a white question mark appears.
This indicates the first of three clue you will need to follow.
A golden plume of dust will rise above the Legendary Animal in Eagle Eye mode.
Following the three track clues will lead players directly to the Legendary Animal.
Legendary Animals will not spawn if there is too much activity nearby.
