Wisconsin’s incumbent governor Scott Walker has officially lost his position in the midterms this year.
Mr Walker was running against Democratic candidate Tony Evers, who will now take over the role.
Projections have revealed an extremely close win for the Democrat, who is just one percent ahead of Walker.
Now, 99 percent of votes have been reported and the position is all but confirmed.
Democrats have long looked to take the role from Mr Walker, and Mr Evers’ furious campaign against the Republican have clearly paid off.

Evers was formerly the Wisconsin State Superintendent of Public Instruction, and built his campaign on Scott Walker’s poor results as governor.
