Pastor Paul Begley, who preaches end of the world prophecies from Indiana in the US, said Planet X could be a sign of the Biblical apocalypse.
Planet X, sometimes known as Nibiru or Wormwood, is a supposed celestial body bound on a cataclysmic orbit with our home world.
Purveyors of the Planet X cataclysm conspiracy theory believe the planet is 10-times the size of Earth and orbits the Sun every 3,600 years.
Pastor Begley has now claimed astronomers may have uncovered a “rogue star” passing Earth thousands of years ago and this could be the mythical Nibiru.
The Biblical conspiracist said: “Is it Nibiru? Is it Planet X?
“You know why even have this story? Why even bring this story up, unless it’s part of the Planet X disclosure.”
Scientists have recently found evidence of a wandering star zipping past our home planet more than 70,000 years ago.
Any ancient Neanderthals who looked up at the skies during the celestial encounter would have seen a faint Red Dwarf star appear at night.
This chance encounter between the Earth and the star is evident in some of the most bizarre and erratic orbital movements of the most distant objects barrelling around the Sun.
One theory suggests the gravity of a so-called Planet Nine beyond the fringes of the solar system is affecting the orbits of other objects.
Another theory proposed in a study published in February this year suggested a small Red Dwarf star some 20 light years away could have passed the Earth hundreds of centuries ago.
However Mr Begley, who believes humans have only been on Earth for 6,000 years, claimed scientist may have just discovered evidence of the planet Nibiru.
He said: “Is this the soft disclosure? We’ve been told there’s a planet number nine, then they called it a dwarf star, it’s already been called by the ancients Nibiru.
According to Pastor Begley, the Nibiru or Wormwood apocalypse is prophesied in the Bible’s Book of Revelation, Chapter 8.
The Book of Revelation talks about the end of the world and the passage of Wormwood.
The passage in question reads: “And the name of the star is called Wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.”

Scientists and astronomers, however, do not believe in the existence of the apocalyptic planet.
NASA said: “Nibiru and other stories about wayward planets are an Internet hoax.
“There is no factual basis for these claims.”
The US space agency stressed there are no astronomical observations to support claims of Nibiru’s existence.
